Thanks for Supportive Weaning Tips

by V (USA)

I don't have a question but I do want to say THANK YOU! You're website is the only site I found that actually gave useful and SUPPORTIVE weaning tips.

I have been breastfeeding my daughter for 6 months now and have been considering weaning. I am starting to feel trapped by the constant need to be with my baby (or my breast pump!) but this is also making me feel guilty. So when I started searching for "how to wean" all the info I came across just made me feel more guilt! They would say things like "consider why you want to wean and if it's worth your babies health" or "breastfeeding should continue until at least 12 to 24 months" and even "your baby will tell you when you should wean, sometime between the ages of 2 and 7" (are they serious!?!?!). So thank you. I've enjoyed breastfeeding for the last 6 months and thanks to you, I will continue to enjoy my baby without feeling so guilty about weaning her. Sincerely, V
